Evan Williams is from San Francisco, California. Some comments about this photograph: “Continued king of the surreal shot. nice one.” “Great shot! I like the otherworld atmosphere in this shot.” “Thought at first the background was of cars racing on the salt flats. Took a while to realize it was water. The ripples persist for so long, it makes it look like the boats are moving at super-high speeds… The foreground elements make the shot, of course, but they also make what’s happening in the background much more interesting. Has the feel of a photo from 1000 years in the future on some other planet, and a life of infinite possibilities — the white foreground element resembles an open, unwritten book (especially in the cropped thumbnail). Salvadore Dali might recognize the scene. Outstanding work!”
