I think the reason it stuck with me is because, as an avid photographer, every time I go out on a shoot, that quote runs through my mind as I search for the perfect landscape image. I am after the image of what I envision in my mind, not what I see with my eyes.

At a children’s party, a parent tends to take photos of the main events: blowing out the candles, eating cake, and opening presents. Having your camera handy throughout the event can help you capture special unexpected moments. While it’s great to videotape at a birthday party, staying alert for perfect still camera images will preserve moments in time.

    BY JAMES THOENES

I’ve identified what I believe are the four biggest mistakes the photographic industry has made. In their attempts to make products they think people will want, or to market products, photographic companies have made some pretty big mistakes. Some of these blunders were just a matter of not really thinking the whole process through. Others, a marketing attempt to make a product into something that it really was not. I’ll point out the four biggest mistakes I have seen the photographic industry make in my lifetime; see if you’ve come across them.

    BY DANE J. STANTON

Aerial Photography is becoming one of the most popular forms of photography today due to its daring capabilities and cause for sudden excitement as well as having the ability to create great affects in photos. It started back in World War II where photographers would hitch a ride in war planes, hoping to capture that one great shot of a plane going down, or an enemy fighter aiming his guns at the camera. It seems today that aerial photography has changed a lot.
