Legal Info Resources for Photographers

I live in the Washington, DC area, and 911 has done quite a number on my ability to photograph much of the government buildings and structures in the area. Bummer, but that’s just the way it is (for now, anyway).

And it’s not just the government. Lots of places (and people) aren’t keen on having their pictures taken… but just because they whine or threaten police/legal action, or strong arm you, or even — shudder — “confiscate” your camera while claiming that what you’re doing is not allowed/illegal, this does not always mean they know what the heck they’re talking about. In some cases, you’ve got every legal right to snap away!
